    New buoys for Lake Tollense

    The 1,000-hectare nature reserve near Neubrandenburg also encompasses the southern tip of Lake Tollensesee. This strictly protected part of the lake is an important European bird sanctuary and must be clearly marked across its entire two-kilometer width.

    The German Red Cross tasked the sea marker team with mobilizing 76 buoys to mark the 8-kilometer stretch of beach along the supervised bathing areas of Warnemünde and Markgrafenheide.
